Join us via Teams Live for our third FREE webinar of the PIER Public Lecture Series on ‘Crime and Policing in a Pandemic’, to hear Chief Constable Simon Bailey speak on: ‘A Review and an Assessment of the Law Enforcement Response to the Threat of Online CSA/E’

In 2014 the Director General of the National Crime Agency used their Sec 5(1) Crime and Disorder Act Power for the first time and tasked CEOP and the NPCC to improve their response to the proliferation of IIOC and the online threat to children. Since then there has been a step change in the response to the threat, however the question still remains, has it been enough and what is the extent of impact from Covid and lockdown? Chief Constable Simon Bailey, NPCC lead for Child Protection and Abuse Investigations, will look back at the progress that has been made and candidly address the questions, before setting out the areas where he believes improvements still have to be made.
