As part of this year’s Holocaust Memorial events, HistoryWorksTV is showing the French filmmaker Alain Renais’s remarkable film NIGHT AND FOG.  The film will be followed by a Q&A session.

This famous film was produced in 1955, and is Alain Renais’ extraordinary documentary on the Holocaust, commissioned by the French Committee for the History of the Second World War “Night and Fog” refers to the practice of the Gestapo to describe people they arrested as disappearing into ‘night and fog’.
